Where To Buy Affordable Artwork

Over the past year, I've added some new pieces of art to my home, which I love, but as I stare at some of my blank walls I realize I'm in need of some more pieces. You may have seen my post on my living room gallery wall, which consisted of a mix of prints I bought online, our own photographs that we had printed and framed and some affordable prints I found at a store with help of my designer, Kristin Conrad. I am going to print some of my own images to hang up on the walls, but I'm also eyeing some other pieces for the guest room, master, hallway and kids rooms.

Here are some of my favorite places to get quality affordable art for your home:
  1. Minted — You may think of minted more of a place to print invites or holiday cards, but they have some great affordable art as well as fine art from a variety of artists.  I ordered one piece for my gallery wall that came framed and now I'm eyeing this print for the den or the downstairs hallway.
  2. One Kings Lane — I got some great framed prints here that look like they came from an art gallery. I love these vintage car prints for a kids room, this fun Cape Cod print in the den or guest room and a pretty blue and black abstract for a formal living room.
  3. Shoppe by Amber Interiors — I love this site for beautiful photography from artists around the country at different price points. The vintage feel of this one in a dining room or den and this Joshua Tree pic for a hallway or entryway is on my wish list.
  4. Lauren Marttila Photography — On my first trip to Nantucket, I stopped at the store Bodega and became obsessed with this photographer's prints.  I love a bunch of these prints for any room of the house and their soft hues go great with a lot of decor styles.
  5. Cb2 — Currently loving cb2s black and white photographs of celebs, rock stars and California landscapes.  Also, impressed with their abstract prints, which would work well in an entryway or for a statement wall.

These are just a current few favorites. There are always new ones to discover and I encourage you to first see if you can use your own photographs or family heirloom pieces to frame on your walls before diving into buying an expensive piece.  I was able to use some shots from Instagram as well as some others from my travels that now adorn my walls.
