The Summer Beauty Products I Have Been Loving

I can't believe it's already mid-summer. August is right around the corner and the boys go back to school end of the month. Trying to soak it all up, which means more things to cross off my summer bucket list. One thing, I've been doing is trying some new beauty products geared towards these warmer months. I really try not to go crazy in the summer, always focusing on some good quality products and some essentials such as a good moisturizer, sunblock, something to make my skin glow and a new gloss or lipstick.

During the day, I've been wearing less, but if I do wear makeup I try and let my skin shine through. A few current summer favorites are below and I've been using them weekly.

LINNÉ Protect Daily Mineral Sunscreen — I have never used this brand before, but this mineral sunscreen has totally won me over. It's hydrating—a barrier cream mixed with SPF—protects and nourishes skin with aloe vera, zinc oxide, hyaluronic acid and plant-based extracts. It leaves the prettiest sheen and works well under makeup.

MERIT Great Skin — When I first got this product sent to me, I was not sure exactly what it was. It's called an "Instant Glow Serum" and has a bronzy tint to it. It brightens and plumps skin with niacinamide and cacao seed extract and is extremely lightweight. You can wear it alone or under makeup and it provides this subtle dewy glow, which makes it the perfect summer product.

MERIT Tinted Lip Oil — One of the softest lip glosses I've ever used, the geleés add a hint of color that work with your natural PH. These contain moisturizing squalene and quinoa seed oil and feel so good on lips. I'm a big fan of the color maraschino.

Kosas Revealer Super Creamy Concealer —One of my holy grail products, concealer gives me life. I love a creamy buildable formula and one that brightens. I went from my favorite NARS to this clean one by Kosas and it's a keeper. It brightens, blends well and looks super natural while covering dark circles, redness and any blemishes.

NYX Professional Setting Spray — Recently, I took a trip to Ulta and stumbled upon this setting spray. I love something to spritz on my face after makeup and I've been wanting to try a good setting spray. This one leaves a subtle matte finish and makeup looks more put together. I do think it helps stay on longer, too. Definitely will be using this to set my makeup for both day and night through the fall.
